Rock 'N' Roll Bucktown
Release Date: October 04, 2004
Label: Static Records
Length: 46:26
Rock 'N' Roll Bucktown was the fifth full-length Sick_Bob album. These 16 songs were written between May 29, and July 4, 2004, and recorded from July 5, thru August 26, 2004. Rock 'N' Roll Bucktown is the undisputed most overdone Sick_Bob album to date. Every song on this album contained as many guitar and recorder tracks as could possibly be shoved in. While this album's over-mixing and profuse effects were a crucial stepping stone for the further development of the Sick_Bob sound, most of these songs would've undoubtedly sounded better with more simplicity. Aside from the over-production, this album's guitar and vocal work showed some serious improvement compared to previous efforts. This album also exhibited a noticeable shift in lyrical content. This album showed a much higher level of social and political commentary than on previous albums; on the other side, there were only three strictly-humor-based tracks to be found here. Rock 'N' Roll Bucktown was released on October 4, 2004 and, considering the amount of effort put into it, had the most disappointing fan response of any Sick_Bob album. Rock 'N' Roll Bucktown sold an estimated 5 to 8 copies before it was discontinued in late 2005. A director's cut version of the album, containing three b-sides, was released on April 19, 2007 as a part of Sick_Bob's 2007 Mass Re-release.
